Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr Eddit HeathDr Eddie Heath graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He received two Bachelor Degrees while playing football for the fighting Texas Aggies. His undergraduate degrees are in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Science. He has spent the last 25-plus years practicing veterinary medicine. Dr. Heath worked with four different veterinary practices as an associate until he opened All Pets in 1993. Through this invaluable experience, he was able to encounter different philosophies and gain insights at each hospital. He took the best ideas from each and applied them to All Pets. When time permits he enjoys many outdoor sports: Anusara yoga, gardening and landscaping at his farm in Weaverville. Dr. Heath shares his home with his son, Nathan, and daughter, Caity, as well as three dometic short hair cats – Beege, Snowshoe and Orange Julius (all spayed and neutered) – and two dogs – Betty Boop, a spayed Boston Terrier and a very enthusiastic Flat-Coated Retriever mix named Tripp, that he adopted from the Buncombe County Animal Shelter.

Dr. Vinnie GibaldiDr. Vinnie Gibaldi, Dr. Vinnie Gibaldi joined All Pet's in 2009. A native of Miami,FL, Dr. Gibaldi has over 25 years of practice experience with small animal and exotic pets.  Dr. Gibaldi holds his digree in Biology from Trinity University, San Antonio TX and graduated from the University of Florida of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Before attending veterinary school he spent almost 2 years at the San Antonio Zoo and almost 3 years at the Miami Metro Zoo.  Prior to joining the All Pet's Team, Dr. Gibaldi pracitced in Tampa, and Lake Worth, FL.

Dr. Gibaldi shares his home with his partner John, their three dachshunds, Willie, Gigi and Stretch and four cats, Esmeralda, Felix, Little Vinnie and Sparky.  Dr. Gibaldi enjoys a vast array of activities including hiking, biking, exploring the mountains, sports, dining and gardening.  Dr. Gibaldi is a member of the AVMA and NCVMA and partipates in continuing education on a regular basis.

Dr Ginny GrantDr. Ginny Grant is a native of Western North Carolina, having grown up in Hendersonville. She has lived in Asheville since 1989. Dr. Grant holds her degrees from North Carolina State University in zoology and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.

Another of our Asheville Veterinarians, she joined the All Pets team in 2006 and enjoys working with cats and dogs as well as birds, reptiles and small mammals. She is a member of the AVMA, NCVMA and a former president, vice president and program chair for the WNC VMA. She also served on a committee of managers for R.E.A.C.H. Hospital in 2007-2008.

In her free time she enjoys walking and hiking in beautiful Western North Carolina. She also enjoys traveling on a frequent basis, relishing time with friends and exploring new vistas. Dr. Grant practices yoga daily and has been a certified yoga instructor since 2001. She lives with her cats Gonzo and Sadie in North Asheville.

Dr, Joshua CookDr. Joshua Cook Dr. Joshua Cook joined the All Pet’s team in early 2014. Although he was born in the upper Midwest, Dr. Cook grew up in Atlanta and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in biology from Kennesaw State University. He later earned his Master’s degree in Coastal Sciences and Parasitology from the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, where his interests focused on the parasites and diseases of wildlife (mostly fishes, frogs, birds, and reptiles).

While in graduate school, Dr. Cook worked as a consultant for the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Atlanta and San Diego Zoos,  The Nature Conservancy, and the American Zoological Association, among others, to help ensure the survival and management of threatened and endangered amphibian species.  A Graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Cook also takes great pride in his pursuit to help to ensure the health of our local Asheville pet population. His veterinary interests focus on client education and preventative medicine, orthopedics, and exotic pet health.

In his free time, you wont find Dr. Cook far away from one of the local trails or rivers with his beloved Labrador Retriever, Frog, and his little mutt, Jackson. Dr. Cook also enjoys spending free time with his family and friends, pursuing one of the myriad outdoor activities WNC has to offer (hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fly fishing), and working in his garden.


Veterinary Technicians and Assistants


Tammy GreggTammy Gregg, RVT has been a part of the All Pets staff since May of 2006. She completed the veterinary medical technology program at AB Tech in August 2006 (which was the first graduating class from AB Tech). Tammy shares her home with her husband, Brian, and her son, Zachery. Tammy has two dogs (a German Shepherd, Max, and a Belgian Shepherd, Tommy), a domestic longhaired cat (Smokey) and several parrots. Her passion in veterinary medicine is assisting with surgery and rehabilitation. Tammy is involved in her church and also enjoys many crafts including quilting, stained glass making and mixed media painting.


Danielle Spillars has been a member of All Pets staff since December 2006. She attended A-B Tech to receive an Associate in Science in 2008. She is also certified in wild life rehabilitation. She shares her house with her husband Aaron, Leah a cattle dog mix, a ball python Jon-va-John, and several cats. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses and riding motorcycles.

Michael CrowleyMichael Crowley moved from Florida to Asheville in 2014.  In Florida he was a Veterinary Assistant for 12 years.  He moved here with his wife Lora, Shih Tzu Phoebe and 3 cats, Charlie, Lucy and Nellie .   He joined our team May of 2014.  In his spare time he enjoys gardening flowers, vegetables and herbs. He also enjoys Qigong and Yoga.
Brianna MickeyBrianna Mickey RVT joined our team December 2014. She graduated from the A-B Tech Veterinary Technology program in 2013.  She worked for a mixed large and small animal practice where she received a certification in Large Animal Rescue.  She grew up on a registered dairy goat farm here in the mountains where she raised and showed dairy goats on a state and national level.  She currently still lives on the farm with several rescue dogs including her Boxer, Buster and her Minature Schnauzer, Lucy.

Delia Denoff RVT joined the All Pets team in 2014.  She graduated from AB Tech's Veterinary Technology program in 2013.  She lives with her dogs Holly, Rogue, Christy, Regina, Lucy, Duke and Muggle and her cat Mulligan.   She also has a special passion for pocket pets.  She has a rabbit named Thumper and a rat named Ranger.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, horseback riding, and writing.

Angela Bates - Angela has been a member of the All Pets staff as a Vet Assistant since December 2014.  She moved to Asheville in July 2008 from Choctaw, OK.  She shares her home with her husband James, her German Shepherd Daisy and two cats, Opie and Dewey.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, crafts, and racing RC cars. 



Front Office Staff

Kerbi JenningsKerbi Jennings has been a member of the All Pets front office staff since November 2006. She is a native of Asheville. She, her husband and little girl share there home with a Doberman, Gymyni. She loves interacting with our wonderful clients and lovable pets! In her spare time she enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening and spending time with family and friends.  

Claudia Peterson has been a part of the All Pets team since 1997. She is our office manager. Prior to joining our team, Claudia worked for many years in the human medical field. Claudia is the mother of three girls and a grandmother of one girl and one boy. She and her husband Mike share their home with one cat Mittens and a Australian Terrier named Hurley. Hurley comes to work with her from time to time and helps out our front staff greeting the clients! She enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, hiking, and rafting.

Audrey Mixon started at All Pets in April 2012 as a full time receptionist. She went to Penn Foster Career School and graduated with her Veterinary Assistance Certification in May of 2010. She loves the client and pet interaction and the ability to help pets and provide the best of care. She hails from Georgia but came to Asheville in October 2011 because of it's beautiful mountains and it's loving people. She shares her home with her husband Brian and their German Shepard, Rambo. In her spare time she  enjoys drawing, reading, hiking, camping, and fishing.

Sherry Hoke joined our team in 2004. She loves to make sure you and your pets feel right at home as soon as you walk in our doors! Sherry has worked in the veterinarian field for over 30 years. She started out as a technician for 12 years, then owned her own grooming shop for 18 years and is currently a receptionist here at All Pets.  Her decorating talent is always shown in our front door displays as well as the beautiful and delicious cakes she makes for us! She shares her home with her husband John.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   


Frieda PopeFrieda Pope is part of the All Pets front staff team and has worked in this position since March 2000. She loves greeting and serving pets and people. She and her husband John have two grown children, and 2 grandchildren, and 3 furry children which include two wirehair dachshunds; Mandy, a spayed rescue, Luke, a neutered rescue, and a orange tabby cat name Ari. Freida enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, sewing, as well as being involved in her church and volunteer activities.

Karen Byrd - Karen joined the All Pets receptionist team in 2014. She brings over 25 years experience in the veterinary field and simply loves interacting with pets and their people.   Karen is a native of Buncombe County and shares her home with her husband, two children, four dogs, two cats, two horses, and a precious turtle!  She enjoys training and competetively showing her dogs, riding horses, hiking, camping, and loves joining in outreach ministries through her church.



Kennel and Grooming Staff

Maddie BarberMaddie Barber joined the All Pets team in 2014 as a kennel technican after moving to Asheville from South Florida where she worked with rescue and transportation. She lives with her Pekingnese Greebo. 


 Heidi Fritz

joined our team February 2016.  She grew up in Merrimack, NH but moved to Asheville several years ago. She recieved her bachlors degree in Fine Arts but decided she wanted to persue a grooming career.  She trained under a certified Master Groomer and regularly attends grooming shows to further educate herself on the new styles and products. She has two children, Elliot and Amelia, and a Pitbull mix named Lucy.  

Chowder, aka Chowskins, Chow-Chow, Chowski, is our 16yo Domestic Shorthair tabby and in-house mascot. His duties include but aren't limited to: office chair occupant/warmer, neck warmer, demander of food, creative analyst, computer technician/trouble shooter (and oftentimes trouble-maker) and wanna-be receptionist.  He hails from the Madison County Animal Shelter and life just wouldn't be the same around here without him and his frequent antics. 

Joe Corriveau is a licensed residential contractor and keeps all things mechanical, going, around the hospital.  Joe and his wife Carol share their home with 2 cats and 5 dogs, one of which is a Hurricane Katrina rescue.

Jessica EricksonJessica Erickson joined our staff May 2014.  She works in the kennel department. She lives in Asheville with her Boykin Spaniel, Birdie, a long haired cat, T.K. and her newest addition, a Cocker Spaniel.   She enjoys playing and watching sports, hiking and visiting local lakes.
